Wolves are shelter experts!
Each breeding season, pregnant wolves select and prepare a den in which to shelter their young. Wolves make use of whatever they find in their environment, be it a deep riverbank hollow the roots of an upturned tree, a space under a rock overhang or a cave, sometimes taking over an old den from another species, such as bear den or an old beaver lodge high and dry. Some rock dens used by generations of wolves are estimated to be centuries old.
Scientific evidence strongly suggests that modern day canines are in fact decedents of the wolf. It is no secret that both species share many similar physical and behavioural characteristics. At Scottie’s Fine Art caves Inc. we believe that every canine companion /wolf descendent living within our homes unequivocally has a right to their own private space. Here at Scottie’s Fine Caves Inc. under the watchful eye of the President and founder, Scottie the terrier, we work diligently to create such spaces, one of a kind, hand-crafted Canine Fine Art Caves for the entire life of your companion.
Believing that form should follow function, our Canine Fine Art Caves are designed first and foremost to maximize the level of comfort, security, privacy and peace of mind for your friend. Once these requirements have been met in the design process, they are incorporated into the physical structure, which is then shaped and reshaped until the artist’s vision is fully realized. All Canine Fine Art Caves then go into a dormant state where they are allowed to cure and de-stress. After a thorough fine-tuning session and the adornment of Scottie’s Badge of Honour, they are finally allowed to leave the studio. Carefully transported to Fast Track Fine Art Service in Victoria, B.C., they are custom-crated, insured, and then air shipped to their new home.
